Meet Vixen – Your Snuggly, New Best Friend!

Vixen is a sweet 6-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready to trade shelter life for a forever home (preferably one where she can roll over and show you her belly). This gentle girl is a true lover — she’s friendly with everyone she meets, whether you’re young or old, tall or short. She thrives on pets, belly rubs, and quality cuddle time.

She would make an excellent dog for apartment or condo living. Her foster paw-rent lives in a condo and, despite hearing footsteps running down the hall and voices from the units above, below, and next to her, Vixen never barks. She’s calm and polite, handles noises, comings and goings, and the sight of other dogs with quiet grace.

While she’s well-mannered around dogs from a distance, we recommend she live in a home where she doesn’t need to meet or interact with other dogs. She’s completely crate trained and happily walks right in when it’s time for you to head out — making her perfect for someone with a work or school schedule.

She’s not a Velcro dog — she enjoys affection but happily gives you space when you need it. Vixen is also an excellent car rider who loves looking out the window, and she has perfect house manners.

Vixen walks beautifully on a front-clip harness and isn’t overly interested in fetch or high-energy toy play, making her a fantastic match for someone who wants a companion for relaxed walks, cozy evenings, and occasional adventures. She simply wants to be a cherished family pet.

Vixen is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Come meet her… she just might steal your heart with one belly-up roll!
