Daytona Beach, FL – Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood is asking the community to join him in supporting the Volusia Sheriff’s Youth Foundation this holiday season. The direct link to donate is VSYF.org. Chitwood said that people who donate today, December 1, which is Giving Tuesday, will have their qualifying donation matched by Facebook. More youths than ever are in need, according to Chitwood, because of the impacts of COVID-19. He says there are many who are homeless, hungry, and lack the basic necessities like socks, underwear, shoes, and coats. Money donated will be used for the holidays and to buy those basic necessities year-round.
