18-year-old Deltona resident Yeiriel Andres Tirado Diaz has been arrested for allegedly firing several shots at an occupied vehicle on Friday. The Volusia Sheriff’s Office claims Tirado Diaz fired at three people, fortunately injuring no one. According the VSO’s description of the incident, Tirado Diaz arrived at the Circle K station at 1830 Howland Blvd sometime shortly before 6:25 pm Friday evening. Upon arrival he’s said to have begun firing shots at a car that was parked at one of the gas pumps. The car’s driver then reportedly got back into their car with their two passengers and drove away. Tirado Diaz is accused of firing multiple shots at the retreating vehicle. The VSO says that the victim was known to Tirado Diaz for years, with the two being former best friends. Things apparently turned sour when the friend had criminal charges against him dropped while Tirado Diaz did not. Tirado Diaz was charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, plus one each of shooting into an occupied vehicle and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. He was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on Saturday, and as of Monday he remains in custody on no bond.
