The Volusia County Public Transit System, better known as Votran, is resuming the DeLand SunRail Circulator bus route this coming Monday, July 21st. In a statement released Wednesday by the county government, they said the change is ‘due to popular demand’. Once it resumes, the route will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be four stops along the route, as specified by the county, connecting riders from downtown DeLand to the city’s SunRail train stop. Alabama Ave & Indiana Ave Woodland Blvd & Ohio Ave (near the 7-Eleven and Stetson University) Rich Ave (adjacent to the Thomas C. Kelly County Administration Center) W New York Ave & Woodland Blvd (in front of the Historic Courthouse) Departures will leave from the SunRail station in DeLand at five minutes after the hour from the 9:00 am to 1:00 pm hours. Past that, departures are scheduled for 2:01 pm, 3:10 pm, and 4:10 pm. There will also be a modified schedule in effect for Route 34 in these hours, connecting the Amelia Superstop to the DeLand Intermodal Transfer Facility (ITF) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Outside of these hours Route 34 will be on its regular schedule with service to the DeLand SunRail Station, the county says. The county says that riders may not immediately see these changes reflected in the myStop mobile app or in Votran’s real-time bus information. Further information about routes and service is available by calling (386) 761-7700, as well as by visiting Votran’s official website or the myStop mobile app.
