Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Tortugas announce that they will spend the last five games of their Independence Day homestand raising money for the family of an injured Daytona Beach police officer. On Wednesday and Friday Night (June 29 & July 2) all proceeds from the Daytona Tortugas 50/50 raffle will go to support the family of Officer Jason Raynor, who was shot and injured during a routine patrol last week. The club also plans to hold a silent auction along the concourse behind home plate Friday through Sunday. Fans purchasing tickets online can also choose to donate at their discretion to help support the cause. You can also donate to a GoFundMe made in Officer Raynor’s name. The Tortugas’ homestand against the Lakeland Flying Tigers continues this Wednesday with all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and popcorn thanks to their Belly Buster Wednesday promotion, presented by Marco’s Pizza. Fans with souvenir cups will also be able to enjoy refills at concession stands for just $3, courtesy of Landshark. Interested in attending a game? You can buy tickets online through the team’s website. You can also call the Tortugas Ticket Office at 386-257-3172.
