Port Orange Police Officer Passes Due To COVID-19

Port Orange, FL – A Port Orange police officer has passed away. From the Port Orange Police Department’s Facebook page: With the family’s permission, it is with extreme sadness that we share news of the passing of one of our own due to COVID-19. Officer Justin White was a veteran member of our police department family. He was a dedicated husband, father, and a fierce advocate for the officers he worked alongside. Officer White passed away this morning and leaves behind a loving wife, children, and police department. We are grateful for his service, dedication, and sacrifice to our agency and this community. A gofundme account was set up just six days ago. According to the post, Officer White went into the hospital the week prior then was moved to ICU and placed on a ventilator and started him on dialysis.
