Police Investigating Fatal DeLand Shooting Sunday Morning

DELAND, Fla. – The Volusia Sheriff’s Office has confirmed they’re investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in DeLand. The incident reportedly took place at around 1:55 am at the 300 block of Chipola Ave. The victim has been identified as Korey Woulard, a DeLand resident. Woulard was 29 years old. After police were called, an officer discovered Woulard lying in the road. An officer with the DeLand Police Department, as the first on-scene, tried to revive Woulard with CPR. He was not successful. An investigation is ongoing with no suspect in custody as of Sunday afternoon.
