UPDATE: As of 5:25 PM, reports say a body was dragged underneath a trailer by a vehicle that eventually stopped in the parking lot of the Save-A-Lot grocery store off of Nova Road and LPGA Blvd. Florida Highway Patrol confirms that they are investigating a fatal incident in that area but they have yet to officially confirm that report. More updates to follow at a later time. Earlier reporting below. Daytona Beach, FL - LPGA is currently shut down as Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) investigates a fatal incident in the area. As of 5:00 Friday (May 7) afternoon, both sides of LPGA are shut down between Derbyshire Road and Nova Road as troopers investigate the incident. News Daytona Beach has contacted state troopers for more information and we are currently waiting on a reply. We will pass along updates as they come.
