The Kingdom Choir, a world-famous gospel vocal group from London, will be performing at the Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center in Palm Coast next month, the Center announced on Monday. The performance is slated to take place on Saturday, December 7th as the Christmas season begins to kick into full gear. “We are honored to welcome The Kingdom Choir to Palm Coast,” said Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center Director Amelia Fulmer. “This is more than a concert; it’s an unforgettable celebration of music and community. Their voices resonate with a message that inspires and uplifts, and we can’t wait to share this experience with our audience. With 17 voices and a full band, you will hear popular top 40 songs and holiday favorites.” The Choir’s Worldwide Appeal The credentials attached to The Kingdom Choir precede them, making them one of the most accomplished bookings the Flagler Auditorium has had in recent years. At the request of Prince (now King) Charles, the Choir performed at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May 2018, alongside the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the English Chamber Orchestra. They performed the 1961 soul classic “Stand by Me”, originally by Ben E. King. In a very different but equally memorable performance, the Kingdom Choir also sang the Star-Spangled Banner at the start of Major League Baseball’s 2019 London Series between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox at London Stadium. Select members returned to royal festivities by singing at the Coronation of Charles III and his wife Camilla as the King and Queen of the United Kingdom in May 2023. Along with these high-profile events, the Kingdom Choir has also appeared on several popular media programs. Just to name a few, they’ve been seen on Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, The Today Show, NPR’s All Things Considered, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and in the New York Times. What to Expect on December 7th When they perform in Palm Coast next month, the Kingdom Choir are expected to deliver their signature renditions of some of the classic Christmas songs they’ve recorded, including “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, “Silent Night”, and “Joy to the World”. The group has also released covers of popular contemporary songs such as John Legend’s “All of Me”, Coldplay’s “Fix You”, Dionne Warwick’s “I Say a Little Prayer”, and Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day”. The concert will take place on December 7th at 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm. Tickets, on sale now, begin at $54 for single seats and $44 per seat for groups of ten or more. Guests can use the promo code SING10 at online checkout to take a $10 discount off their order.
