Daytona Beach, FL – Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Bike Week 2022. So far, the area is expecting big crowds for this year’s running as local businesses prepare for the influx of customers—which some expect to be around 300,000 to 400,000. This year, riders can roll in at One Daytona to visit the official Bike Week Welcome Center and find many things to do around Daytona Beach during the event’s 81st running. This year is also shaping up to be somewhat of a cool and clear Bike Week. Forecasts from the National Weather Service in Melbourne shows bikers can expect highs in the low 80s and lows in the high 50s and low 60s straight through to Tuesday (March 8). Mostly clear skies are expected throughout the first part of the event, but there are some chances for showers come Monday night into Tuesday. Thankfully, chances currently remain low at 20 percent. Many of the area’s hoteliers are saying their rooms are fully booked as patrons and visitors embrace the ease in some COVID-19 restrictions. Vendors are also preparing for an influx of customers, with some overstocking their supplies and materials as thousands are expected to flock to Bike Week’s entertainment epicent, Main Street; which will be restricted to just bike and pedestrian traffic. A number of events are also underway already, including the 44th Daytona Swapmeet on Tomoka Farms Road near the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market. Riders and residents alike are also heading to the saloons that line US-1 in Ormond Beach on the way to Bike Week’s other hub, Destination Daytona. Over 100 vendors are already posted up at Destination Daytona. Bike Week runs from Friday (March 4) straight to Sunday (March 13).
