UPDATE: According to an email from Volusia County Government, a county employee driving a county vehicle was killed after hitting a stopped Votran bus. Daytona Beach, FL - State troopers are working the scene of a fiery crash between a pickup truck and a Votran bus. According to Florida Highway Patrol, troopers were called to the scene at International Speedway Boulevard and Indian Lake Road after receiving reports that a pickup truck had struck a Votran bus around 8:00 Monday (June 28) morning. Not many details are available as investigators are still tending to the crash scene, but what is known is that one individual is dead so far. Pictures from the crash site indicate that one of the vehicles caught fire as a result of the crash, but FHP has yet to confirm which vehicle it was. #TRAFFICALERT: A vehicle fire is currently blocking the westbound lanes of ISB/US-92 at Indian Lake Rd in Daytona Beach.Westbound traffic is closed at LPGA Blvd. Expect delays, try to seek an alternate route if possible.— News Daytona Beach (@NewsDaytonaBch) June 28, 2021 At present, ISB is shut down in both directions at LPGA Boulevard and Clark Bay Road.
