Daytona Beach, FL – Free flu shots are being offered by the Florida Department of Health – Volusia tomorrow, December 8. They’ll be available at 310 Jean Street, just south of Orange Avenue, the same place residents pick up sandbags when preparing for a hurricane. The event takes place between 10 a.m. and noon The rain date is Friday, Dec. 11. The CDC recommends that anyone age six months and older get a flu vaccine. They are also highly recommended for: People age 65 and older Pregnant women Infants over six months of age People with weakened immune systems or long-term health problems (such as asthma, diabetes or kidney disease) Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent who is able to sign a consent form.
