Daytona Beach, FL – On the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, the Daytona Beach Fire Department (DBFD) will host a ceremony in remembrance of those who were lost that day and those who perished in the time following the disaster. The public is welcomed to attend the event that will feature speakers such as Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick Henry, City Manager Deric Feacher, Deputy City Manager and Fire Chief Dru Driscoll, and Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young. A release from the department says the DBFD Honor Guard will present colors and perform a traditional bell ringing ceremony. The event will take place beginning at 9:00 a.m at Fire Station #1, located on the corner of Beach Street and Orange Avenue near Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Parking at the fire stations parking lot will be available on a first come, first served basis. Street parking will also be available on Beach St. and Orange Ave.
