Daytona Beach Named One of Top 50 Places to Live in USA

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – In a new report from U.S. News & World Report, the Daytona Beach metro area was named one of the top 50 places to live in the United States. The report included 150 different metro areas, and named the Daytona Beach area #49 overall. The listing did not go into the specifics of why it ranked Daytona Beach so high, but did give it positive scores in the categories of quality of life and value. In its feature, U.S. News & World Report shared a long and intricate methodology for how it’s selected its list, combining factors such as affordability, job market, education, air quality, and safety from natural disasters. Despite its high ranking in the grand scheme of things, Daytona was behind several other areas in Florida on the list. Respectively, Sarasota ranked #5, Naples was #6, Melbourne was #15, Jacksonville was #16, Tampa was #24, and Pensacola was #28. Daytona just beat out its neighbors Orlando and Ocala, which ranked #52 and #67 respectively. Green Bay, Wisconsin was given the top spot overall, lauded for its high quality of life compared to the cost of living.
