Daytona Beach, FL - A café in the base of the new Brown & Brown building offers patrons a selection of fresh, locally sourced meals and combines convenience, contemporary food choices, and creative spaces in what they call a pandemic-proof environment. The Sanctuary Café—operated by the France-based hospitality company, Sodexo—opened earlier this year in Brown & Brown’s newly opened Beach Street headquarters. The establishment offers guests a variety of meals and some familiar flavors, such as those offered from their own in-house Boar’s Head deli—which uses breads from local bakers. For those with a craving for fish, the Sanctuary Café also offers a variety of fresh fish that’s sourced right here in Central Florida from Gary’s Seafood of Orlando. That fresh, never frozen fish is then used to create their signature poke bowls. And on Fridays, the fish is used for their Fresh Catch Friday action station where it’s cooked to order. Patrons can also use the café’s 24-hour self-checkout kiosk to purchase Sodexo’s Simply To Go line of parfaits, sandwiches, salads, and snacks for after-operating hours purchases. Guests can also utilize Sodexo’s free app "Bite by Sodexo" to order ahead and pick up their order once they come in. "They can order a coffee on their way into work and then pick it up and head right to work," said Will Smith, General Manager for Sodexo. Smith also told News Daytona Beach that Sanctuary Café will soon offer fully prepared meals that people can bring home for dinner. “Working in tandem with Brown & Brown has been outstanding,” said Sean Freeman, District Manager of Corporate Services for Sodexo. “They are true partners, and their willingness to work together has made the opening of The Sanctuary Café a huge success.” The whole idea behind the café revolves around a food service concept used by Sodexo known as "Modern Recipe." With this concept, Sodexo changes how cafés work by turning them into assets that encourage "wellbeing, loyalty and collaboration." You can check out the café for yourself by visiting it at the new Brown & Brown headquarters found off Beach Street near Downtown Daytona Beach.
