Commissioner Sosa Resigning From Deltona City Commission

Deltona, FL – Effective November 13, Deltona City Commissioner David Sosa will officially resign from the city commission. A prepared release from the city states that Sosa tendered his resignation at Tuesday’s (April 25) city commission meeting, but did not directly state why Sosa is resigning. A resignation letter from Sosa, available on the city’s website, also did not indicate why Sosa is resigning. The same release said residents interested in serving on the city commission will need to fill out and file candidate paperwork with the city, which can be found online (click here). According to the Volusia County Supervisor of Elections Office, no one previously filed to run for the District 6 spot in Deltona; candidates, however, have filed to run for mayor and commissioners in Districts 1, 3, and 5.
