If you’re looking from the perspective of the Trump campaign, things might look bleak. But, if you’re part of Joe Biden’s camp, you might be celebrating. The former Vice President is now leading President Donald Trump in two key battleground states that the incumbent was originally ahead in. Late Thursday night (November 6th), both Georgia and Pennsylvania were still reporting President Trump as the frontrunner in both states—although, Biden began to chip away at Trump’s Georgia lead throughout the night, eventually narrowing it down to a difference of just over 1,900 votes. Come the following morning, Biden was reported to be leading in Georgia as Trump still maintained a lead in Pennsylvania. Then, just before 9 a.m., new results from Pennsylvania put the Democratic candidate ahead of Donald Trump, who is now in a rather precarious situation. At this point, Trump’s only hope is to secure more votes in the two states he just lost, where Biden now leads by very thin margins. That, however, might be a challenge as both states are coming close to closing their remaining precincts—Georgia states 99% of precincts are reporting as 98% are reporting in Pennsylvania.
