Telluride, CO - A Sheriff’s Office out in Colorado confirms the deaths of a Port Orange couple that recently eloped to Telluride for a small wedding. On Monday (October 5th) the San Miguel Sheriff’s Office (SMSO) announced that rescue operations were underway following reports of a small plane that had crashed east of Telluride. Unfortunately, an hour after announcing the search, SMSO confirmed that both occupants were deceased. The crash victims were later identified as 30-year-old Costas John Sivyllis and 33-year-old Lindsey Vogelaar, both of Port Orange. According to SMSO, both Sivyllis and Vogelaar eloped to Telluride for a small wedding and an "adventure-filled honeymoon" that the couple was documenting online for their friends and family. The two victims of the plane crash have been identified as Costas John Sivyllis, 30, and his wife of four days, Lindsey Vogelaar, 33, both of Port Orange, FL. However, the plane crashed around 10 to 15 minutes after takeoff. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is now handling the investigation.
