The first Arbor Day was celebrated in 1594 in Spain. You can continue the worldwide 400-year tradition by planting your own FREE tree. The Arbor Day Celebration & Waterwise Fair on is February 5 at 9 a.m. With proof of residency, take home one of 400 types of trees such as Sand Live Oak, Sweet Bay Magnolia, Red Cedar, and Bald Cypress. A food for monarch butterflies, Butterfly Milkweed seeds, will also be handed out. You’ll have a chance to take a selfie with rescue owls! Boy Scout Troop 72 will be at the event to help load your tree into your vehicle. The Waterwise Fair will be raffling rain barrels, water buckets, and more.
