Orange City, FL – In the coming months, Orange City’s Bed Bath & Beyond store will close its doors permanently. The store is just one of 37 stores across 19 states that will close sometime by the end of February. Shuttering locations are now going through store closing liquidation sales. The company announced plans to close 200 stores in July 2020, which accounts for about 21 percent of the Bed Bath & Beyond stores in the United States. In total, seven stores will close in New York; five in California; and four in Washington. Arizona, Georgia, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Texas will close two stores each. Orange City’s location will be the only store to close in Florida; similar to Alabama, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia, which will also close one store each. More Macy’s Closures Also shuttering stores in 2022 is Macy’s, who announced the closure of their Daytona Beach location in 2021. These closures are part of the company’s three-year plan to slash one-fifth of their locations, which accounts to roughly 125 stores. Exact dates aren’t available, but the company is expected to close 10 stores within the month of January. That includes locations in Alabama, California, Colorado, Missouri, and Texas. One Bloomingdale’s location—another brand under the Macy’s umbrella—will also close in Florida.
