Daytona Beach, FL – Two men, one dressed as a woman, are charged in two armed gas station robberies that happened early Tuesday morning. Daytona Beach Police (DBPD) found John Graham and Klandi Brooks just a mile away from where the second robbery happened. Both are being held without bond. The first robbery happened in DeBary at a Circle K on Charles R. Beall Blvd., in DeBary just before 3 a.m. The suspect, identified as Graham, demanded cigarettes, then pulled a gun and demanded money. Surveillance video showed the suspect was a white man, wearing a black hat, black wig, a black covid mask, a gray sweater, black fishnet stockings, and black boots. Deputies, K-9 units, and Air One flooded the area to search for suspects but did not find any. A VSO watch commander did see a suspicious U-Haul van driving with no rear lights and issued a BOLO. Graham and Brooks next showed up in Daytona Beach, where they committed another armed robbery at about 4:45 a.m. at a Sunoco station on International Speedway Blvd. near Thames Rd. An employee there reported a similar robbery with the same suspect description as what happened in DeBary. DBPD found the U-Haul van matching the BOLO, parked about a mile away. They also found Graham and Brooks walking on foot through the nearby Wawa gas station and took them into custody after officers noticed that Graham’s description and clothing matched the suspect in the Sunoco robbery. Officers made contact with Graham and Brooks and quickly realized that one of them was involved in the robberies, specifically because he was wearing yellow boots, similar to the ones seen in the BOLO provided. Graham was found with a concealed firearm in his waistband, and because he matched the suspect description in both cases. he’s charged with two charges each of Robbery with a Firearm and Aggravated Assault. He’s also charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Brooks is charged with Principal Robbery with a Firearm and Robbery with a Firearm.
