Daytona Beach, FL – A 58-year-old man died Thursday (September 23) morning after drowning off Daytona Beach. Volusia County Beach Safety says the Daytona Beach man was pulled out of the water around 10:45 near the Bandshell and the Ocean Walk Shoppes. He was unresponsive and life saving measures were performed by emergency responders. The man was taken to the hospital where he later died just after 11:00 a.m. His identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
