Community Garden Plots Available In New Smyrna Beach

New Smyrna Beach, FL – The city of New Smyrna Beach has 36 community garden plots available for the Fall season. They are on a first-come, first-served basis to city residents for $15 each. Each plot measures 4 ft. x 8 ft. and must be planted using organic methods only. They are located at 505 Mary Ave. in the Historic Westside neighborhood. You can find the application, community garden rules, and regulations at cityofnsb.com. You can also fill out an application in person at the Alonzo "Babe" James Community Center at 201 N. Myrtle Ave. The mission of the New Smyrna Beach Community Garden is to create and maintain a sense of community, promote healthy lifestyle choices, and offer a place for those who share a common desire to learn more about gardening.
