Daytona Beach, FL - Parents, teachers and Volusia County residents alike can now visit a new online dashboard to see how many cases of COVID-19 are affecting local schools. The dashboard, which was launched after the Florida Department of Education requested COVID-19 reporting at the district level, will display which schools are impacted by positive cases and how many cases there are. However, unlike the state’s dashboard that updates daily at 11 a.m., this dashboard will only be updated twice a week, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 2 p.m. Currently, the dashboard says there are a total of eight cases reported in the district, with two students and six employees that have tested positive. Those cases are spread out between Creekside Middle, DeLand Middle, Port Orange Elementary and Student Transportation.
