Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD) has released the three day numbers for this past weekend’s Daytona Truck Meet. Accoring to those numbers, there’s no real change in what law enforcement had to handle, even though last year’s event was held while COVID-19 restrictions were in effect over Labor Day weekend. 2021 2020 TRAFFIC STOPS 1,111 1,130 WARNINGS 380 383 CRIMINAL CITATIONS 27 16 MISDEMEANOR ARRESTS 35 48 FELONY ARRESTS 12 7 VEHICLES TOWED 25 19 FIELD INTERVIEWS 99 74 Several other law enforcement agencies took part in helping the DBPD keep things under control. They are the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, Volusia County Beaches, New Smyrna Beach Police Department, South Daytona Police Department, Edgewater Police Department, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, and the Flagler Beach Police Department.
