VSO Makes 2nd Major Drug Sales Bust In West Volusia County

DeLand, FL – On Thursday, May 27, Volusia sheriff’s deputies and narcotics detectives conducted the second street-level drug operation in less than five weeks in west Volusia County. There were 16 arrests on April 24 and another 16 were arrested in the most recent operation. VSO said "these operations are a priority in our ongoing efforts to reduce violent crimes and drug activity." Five arrest warrants were served at the location for sale and delivery of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a park.  One person was arrested before the operation and more arrests are expected.
