2 Found Dead Outside Athens Theatre

Two people were found dead near the Athens Theatre in DeLand on Thursday, according to the DeLand Police Department. Police say they are “actively investigating the deaths of two individuals” near the intersection of North Florida Ave and West Indiana Ave. Little information has been released as of Thursday morning. Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released. Their families will be notified before their names are publicly announced.
