Ashley’s Ride Receives Challenge Grant

Daytona Beach, FL – Ashley’s Ride was created to facilitate a safe commute for First Step Shelter residents. Donations received will be used to cover the cost of transportation for the residents. An anonymous donor has contributed $5,000 as a challenge grant. Donations from the community-at-large will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000.  Victoria Fahlberg, Executive Director, was thrilled to receive the generous challenge funding.  “It creates a way for us to meet transportation needs for our residents as they work to change their lives.  Ashley’s Ride will memorialize a life the ended too soon while also bringing good from this tragedy.”  FHP: Indiana Woman Struck & Killed On ISB Donations can be made via the First Step website at firststepshelter.org or by texting the word "GIVE" to 386-603-9207.
