Pennsylvania Man Arrested for Threatening Volusia Deputy

JONESTOWN, Penn. – For the second time in just a few days, a resident of another state has been arrested for threats made against a member of Volusia County law enforcement. This time, it’s 51-year-old Jason Senseman of Jonestown, Pennsylvania. According to a statement from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, Senseman messaged the Facebook account of the TV program ‘On Patrol: Live’ after apparently watching their show. He reportedly said “I would kill Royce James”, referring to a Volusia Sheriff’s deputy who was featured on the show. “I am not scared of killing anyone,” he allegedly continued. “Some of your officers are worthy of death.” The people who run On Patrol: Live’s Facebook page forwarded the communications to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, as well as law enforcement in Senseman’s area of residence. Officers there are apparently aware of Senseman from previous incidents. When questioned, Senseman reportedly told a Pennsylvania state trooper that he sent messages to the page while watching On Patrol: Live and drinking, confirming that no other individuals have access to his Facebook to potentially send such messages. He was arrested and charged with making written threats to kill, with bond set at $100,000. He is to be extradited to Volusia County, where Deputy James and Sheriff Mike Chitwood are planning to greet him in person.
