Nine people were arrested by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office Friday in an investigation into a suspected drug house in DeLand. Several different narcotics were seized when a search warrant was served at 769 Grant Ave. The investigation that led to these arrests has been ongoing since December, the VSO said in an announcement the day of the search. The West Volusia Narcotics Task Force was pursuing alleged drug activity after complaints were submitted about the house in question. When the warrant was served, 15 people were said to have been on the property at the time. Two of those were children, reported to have been in a bedroom where deputies found narcotics. Because of this, child neglect charges were issued among the arrests.
