Daytona Beach, FL – Tickets to witness the last chance to secure a spot in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship are on sale now. The 2022 Coke Zero Sugar 400, slated for the evening of Saturday, August 27, will determine which drivers will secure their spot in the final 10-race battle for the NASCAR Cup Series championship. And if this Coke Zero Sugar 400 is anything like the last two, it’ll be just as dramatic. In the 2021 Coke Zero Sugar 400, Tyler Reddick, through grit and determination, brought home his beaten and battered car fifth to take the final spot in the Cup Series Playoffs. And in 2020, in a “must win” situation, William Byron managed to muscle his way to his first career Cup Series win and a guaranteed spot in the Playoffs. “The excitement for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 is also at an all-time high,” said Daytona International Speedway President Frank Kelleher. “The pressure to get into the playoffs is immense, and provides incredible, nail-biting racing on the high banks of our historic venue as has been proven the last two years. We’re looking forward to having the same level of excitement in 2022.” Next year’s 400 will also see the return of NASCAR’s “Next Gen Car,” which is set to make its debut at the World Center of Racing during the season opener, the Daytona 500. Tickets for the race begin at $49. Extended-stay camping packages are also available and include access to general admission seating. Fans can also purchase tickets for the UNOH Fanzone/Pre-Race. Also on tap for summer racing at Daytona International Speedway is the Wawa 250, which will run prior to the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-PIT-SHOP (748-7467) or by visiting DaytonaInternationalSpeedway.com.
