Ormond Beach, FL – A 13-year-old boy, Robert A. Penny, is dead as the result of a traffic accident. He was the passenger on the back of a motorcycle driven by Robert M. Penny, who suffered serious injuries in the accident. They are both from Brooksville, Florida. The accident happened Saturday (October 10) afternoon around 3:30. Ormond Beach Police say the motorcycle was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Nova Road. A car traveling in the northbound lanes attempting to make a left turn near Tomoka Oaks Boulevard was t-boned by the motorcycle. The 13-year-old passenger on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. This is an ongoing investigation.
