Quietly this month the Volusia County Sheriffs Dept has been working hard to provide help to the needy in Volusia and Flagler counties. Saturday December 2nd was the 3rd Annual Motorcycle Skills Challenge with law officers from across the state and country banding together to raise money for the Florida Youth Ranches and C.O.P.S.(concerns of Police Survivors)
Then this week the Dept has teamed up with Walmart to provide bicycles for needy kids in our area.
Dallas & Brenda and our entire staff at Daytona’s 93.1 Coast Country want to salute these Hometown Heroes from the Sheriff’s Dept and Walmart for reaching out to others this holiday season!
Thank you to @SheriffChitwood and @Walmart for providing one bike to every Volusia County public school – a total of 77 bikes for 77 deserving students! Deputies will deliver the bikes to schools next week. #VCSKindnessInspires pic.twitter.com/nRx5mrBjSg
