Carrie Underwood may be the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, but Wednesday night in Nashville, she was mainly a fangirl — thanks to New Kids on the Block.
It would be hard to say whether Carrie’s been more stoked about her husband’s run for the Stanley Cup with the Nashville Predators or her night checking out NKOTB’s Total Package Tour at Bridgestone Arena.
After serenading NKOTB members Jordan Knight and Danny Wood onstage with “Happy Birthday,” Carrie said the experience was like being “instantly back in 6th grade.” She continued to tweet and Instagram throughout the show, sharing a clip of the classic boy band singing their 1990 hit, “Step by Step.”
“Still got it!” she proclaimed.
A mini-American–Idol reunion also took place, as the season-four winner came face-to-face with one of the judges who helped make her a star.
“Well, look who I ran into backstage…!” Carrie shared, retweeting a photo with Paula Abdul, who’s also on the tour. “So cool to watch her do her thing!” she added.
Paula was full of compliments for Carrie as well. “So happy to reunite with the amazingly talented and equally beautiful @CarrieUnderwood tonight,” she said. “So proud of your journey.”
Carrie wasn’t the only surprise NKOTB had for their Music City fans. They also brought Big & Rich out during their set.
Miranda Lambert is so passionate about her pups, she’s organizing a march — and she’s hoping you’ll join her.
On Thursday, June 8, the “Tin Man” singer and her beloved rescue dogs will march from Music City’s Nissan Stadium across the Cumberland River to downtown via the Nashville Pedestrian Bridge. Both fans and four-legged friends are invited. All you need to do is register at MuttNationFoundation.com.
The MuttNation March will kick off Miranda’s pet adoption drive at CMA’s Fan Fair X inside Music City Center.
If you can’t make it to Nashville, the Texas native is still offering a shot at some one-on-one time while working for her favorite cause. Grand prize in the MuttNation Shelter Day Sweepstakes is a day with Miranda, to be spent making over an animal shelter. You can enter the contest on the foundation’s website as well.
Brad Paisley’s currently having a “Last Time for Everything” contest to give one group of 2017 graduates a concert they’ll never forget, and Wednesday night in New York state, he got in a practice run.
The West Virginia native invited the seniors from Saratoga Springs High and Averill Park High to be his test audience as he rehearsed for this 2017 Weekend Warrior World Tour. Along the way, he also doled out a little advice.
“This is the ‘Last Time for Everything’ for all of you,” he said, referencing his current single. “High school graduation is one of those moments where you look around and it’s like ‘We’re going to be friends forever.’ No, some of them you might see at a reunion,” he joked.
You can check out all the details for Brad’s contest online.
After his Thursday kickoff in Saratoga Springs, Brad and Dustin Lynch, Chase Bryant and Lindsey Ell roll through Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Raleigh, North Carolina this weekend.
