Well, that was quick: 21st Century Fox announced yesterday that BILL O’REILLY is DONE at Fox News.
Fox said, quote, “After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the Company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel.”
Bill wasn’t quite as diplomatic. After bragging about his 20 years on “one of the most successful news programs in history,” he said, quote, “It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims.
“But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today.”
TUCKER CARLSON is getting Bill’s 8:00 P.M. timeslot.
Here’s Fox News Channel’s new lineup, effective Monday:
5 p.m. ET: A one-hour program hosted by Eric Bolling to debut on May 1. For the week of April 24-28, “Special Report with Bret Baier” will fill the 5-7 p.m. timeslot.
7 p.m. ET: “The Story with Martha MacCallum” (Live) *debuts on Monday, May 1. MacCallum continues anchoring “The First 100 Days” through April 28.
8 p.m. ET: “Tucker Carlson Tonight” (Live)
9 p.m. ET: “The Five” (Live) with co-hosts; Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dana Perino, Bob Beckel, Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters and Juan Williams.
10 p.m. ET: “Hannity”
“The O’Reilly Factor” has been the #1 cable news show for 15 consecutive years.
It generated $446 million in advertising revenue from 2014 through 2016. But it all fell apart earlier this month, when the “New York Times” reported that $13 million had been paid out to settle sexual harassment claims against Bill.
Serena Williams Is Pregnant!
SERENA WILLIAMS is pregnant. She posted a picture on Snapchat of her growing belly, saying she’s 20 weeks along. This is the first child for Serena and her fiancé Alexis Ohanian. They’re also planning their wedding, but there’s no date yet.
Back to that “20 weeks” thing for a second: On January 28th, Serena won the Australian Open. She didn’t drop a single set, and she beat her sister VENUS in the finals.
It was her 23rd major title, and if she’s 20 weeks now, then she was almost TWO MONTHS PREGNANT when she won it.
Serena turns 36 in September, but this isn’t the end of her career. She’ll miss the rest of the season, but her rep says she’ll be back on the court in 2018
Julia Roberts is “People’s” Most Beautiful Woman for the Fifth Time
JULIA ROBERTS has been named “People” magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman in the World for the FIFTH time . . . 26 years after she first won the title in 1991. She also won in 2000, 2005, and 2010.
So what does she plan to do with her title? Rub it in GEORGE CLOONEY’s face. He’s only been “People’s” Sexiest Man Alive TWICE. And she says, quote, “I’m going to mention that in my Christmas card to the Clooneys this year.”
Julia was 23 when she won for the first time, and she wasn’t sure she deserved it. At the time she thought, “Was I old enough to be voted into this level of popularity?”
But she’s 49 now, and she’s not going anywhere. She says, quote, “I think I’m currently peaking.”
At Julia’s age, the idea of plastic surgery is obviously going to come up. And she’s not against it. Quote, “Do it if you need it . . . I think that we should all do what we want.”
Grunk Crashes White House Press Conference
The New England Patriots visited the White House yesterday to celebrate their Super Bowl win, and Gronk decided to sneak away for a minute. The Patriots’ tight end crashed a press conference with Sean Spicer. He stepped out from behind the stage, and asked if Spicer needed any help. Spicey laughed and said, “that was cool.”
