BECCA KUFRIN got to confront her former fiancé ARIE LUYENDYK JR. on the “Bachelor: After the Final Rose” special last night. But it was a little anticlimactic.
There were no real fireworks, and while Arie probably didn’t make anybody like him more, chances are he didn’t make things worse for himself either.
Becca asked him why he had to have a camera crew record their breakup, and he said, quote, “I wanted everyone here and at home to know that this was on me, and it wasn’t on you.”
He also said he regretted proposing in the first place, because he wasn’t ready. And he apologized . . . but he tried to shift some of the blame to the show.
He said, quote, “I think the pressure of this, the pressure of being the Bachelor, knowing that there’s a timeline and having to make that decision on that day . . .
“And that’s no excuse. I should not have proposed. I was conflicted and I needed more time but I didn’t have any more time. I apologize for that.”
Then Becca did what a lot of fans probably hoped she wouldn’t: She accepted Arie’s apology and forgave him.
She said, quote, “I’m always going to have love in my heart for you. You were my fiancé, and I did fall in love with you. But I moved on and I’m ready for the next chapter of my life.”
That whole “next chapter” of her life thing would come in handy at the end of the show, when Becca was announced as the next “Bachelorette”. She even got to meet some of her suitors for the upcoming season.
One guy played her a song on the banjo, another brought his HORSE onstage and put her on it . . . and a British dude called Arie a “wanker”.
Four “Bachelor” Randoms: A Minnesota Congressman Wants to Ban Arie from the State
1. Minnesota State Representative Drew Christensen was so mad about what ARIE did to his fellow Minnesotan BECCA, that he’s drafting a bill BANNING Arie from the state.
He actually floated the idea in a Tweet, saying he’d do it if he got a thousand re-Tweets. He got almost 11,000.
2. At least 16 anti-Arie billboards have gone up in California and Becca’s home state of Minnesota.

3. ZACH BRAFF isn’t happy about his resemblance to Arie. He Tweeted, quote, “I don’t wanna look like this [effer] anymore.”
4. Before they were on “The Bachelor” together, LAUREN actually met Arie once before . . . at a race. He even took a picture with her.
